Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Behavioral Resource Technician (BRT) at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, MA. You will provide safety observation, document patient status every 15 minutes, and communicate with RNs to support patient care.

The role emphasizes de-escalation, daily living assistance, and maintaining a therapeutic environment within a collaborative healthcare team. This is a full-time, day-shift position with rotating holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant patient care experience.
• 2 years of experience working with behavioral health patients.
• GED or HiSET (Required)

Responsibilities

• Provide safety observation of the patient and intervene as necessary.
• Document patient status every 15 minutes.
• Independently communicate patient information and observations to the RN.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, toileting, ambulating, turning and repositioning.
• Maintain a safe environment and de-escalate when needed.
• Report any safety hazards to the RN.
