Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant patient care experience.
• 2 years of experience working with behavioral health patients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides safety observation of patients and intervenes as necessary.
• Documents patient status every 15 minutes.
• Communicates patient information and observations promptly to the RN.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, toileting, ambulating, turning).
• Implements de-escalation techniques to maintain a therapeutic environment.
• Monitors environment for safety hazards and reports to RN.
• Maintains one-to-one observation when assigned, remaining with the patient.
