Job summary

Upper-Allegheny-Health-System's Olean General Hospital is seeking a Unit Coordinator to provide clerical and receptionist support on the Behavioral Health Unit, ensure safety, monitor alarms and cameras, and assist with patient care coordination.

The role focuses on protecting patient rights, communicating issues to the charge nurse, performing rounds, and supporting Utilization Review with Affinity documentation and insurance contacts. Onsite, full-time, with 8A-4P shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• BLS certification and CPI course with annual refresh.
• Valid driver's license.
• 3–5 years of experience in a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide general clerical and receptionist duties for the department.
• Assist in ensuring patient and staff safety on the Behavioral Health Unit (BHU).
• Respond to the alarm system and monitor video surveillance cameras.
• Communicate patient issues to the charge nurse and perform rounds.
• Protect patient rights by maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Assist with Utilization Review using Affinity documentation and contacting insurance companies.
