Job summary

Guidelight Health in Norwood, MA is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to support patients in our PHP/IOP programs. Under supervision of licensed clinicians, you will implement treatment plans, facilitate activities, and help ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.

You will collaborate with therapists, nurses, and support staff to monitor progress, document observations, and educate families about mental health treatments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in psychology or sociology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, empathetic, nonjudgmental approach.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient support during treatment, including ADLs and therapeutic activities.
• Maintain accurate records of patient behaviors and progress.
• Facilitate skills groups and document client notes.
• Assist in crisis intervention per clinical direction.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities to promote self-awareness and regulation.
• Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, nurses and staff for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families about mental health treatment options.
• Monitor environment for safety and maintain a safe treatment setting.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
