Job summary

Guidelight Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support adolescents in our PHP and IOP programs onsite. The BHT will work under licensed clinicians, provide direct client support, facilitate groups, and help maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu throughout the client day.

You will collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other team members, document observations, and contribute to treatment goals while adhering to professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, Behavioral Health, Education, or related field.
• Experience working with adolescents in behavioral health settings (PHP/IOP preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and group facilitation skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate psychoeducational and skills-based groups under licensed staff.
• Provide direct client support and engagement in PHP/IOP programs.
• Support therapeutic milieu and ensure a safe, respectful environment.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and prescribers to reinforce treatment concepts.
• Document observations and attendance accurately.
• Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation as trained.
• Perform timely communication of client needs to clinicians.
