Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in Milford, Delaware. You will provide essential peer and operational support to patients during their recovery journey, focusing on supervision, safety, and empathetic interaction.

The position is part-time with two 12-hour shifts weekly, on-site at Milford. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in detox and residential care, contributing to high-quality patient care and support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to comply with motor vehicle insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients and facility grounds, conduct safety checks, and coordinate with medical staff for attention needs.
• Measure and report vital signs, conduct UDS and pregnancy tests.
• Maintain respectful and professional interactions with patients, offering emotional support and referring clinical concerns to therapy staff.
• Share relevant patient information with the Team Leader, Supervisor/Operations Director while collaborating with the team to ensure high-quality care.
• Assist in patient transport, group coordination, and recreational activities; supervise supplies and discharge preparations.
