Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide essential peer and operational support to patients during recovery. The role is on-site in Gulf Breeze, FL, with three 12-hour shifts per week and direct reporting to the Director of Operations.

The position emphasizes patient supervision, safety, and collaboration with clinical staff. Ideal candidates have related experience, a clean DMV record, and are 21 or older.

Qualifications

• Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to comply with motor vehicle insurance requirements.
• Preferred experience in substance use disorder or mental health treatment and working with various levels of care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients and facility grounds; conduct safety checks and document incidents.
• Measure vital signs, conduct UDS and pregnancy tests in accordance with policy.
• Provide emotional support and refer clinical concerns to therapy staff.
• Communicate patient information with Team Leader and Supervisor to ensure high-quality care.
• Assist in patient transport, group coordination, and discharge preparations.
