Banyan Treatment Centers in Gulf Breeze, FL is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide essential peer and operational support to patients during recovery. You will spend time with patients, monitor safety, and assist staff to maintain a therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Safe driving record with a clean DMV for the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old to comply with motor vehicle insurance requirements.
• Preferred: work experience in substance use disorder or mental health treatment.
• Preferred: experience with detox and residential levels of care.
• Preferred: associate's degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients and facility grounds, conduct safety checks, and communicate with medical staff for attention needs.
• Measure and report vital signs, conduct UDS and pregnancy tests, and comply with policies.
• Maintain respectful and professional interactions with patients, offering emotional support and referring concerns to therapy staff.
• Share relevant patient information with the Team Leader and Supervisor while collaborating with the team for high-quality care.
• Assist in patient transport, group coordination, and discharge preparations while ensuring facility safety.
