Job summary

Bradford Health Services is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians (FT and PRN) to support patients with mental health challenges under clinical supervision. The role emphasizes crisis intervention, direct patient care, and maintaining accurate documentation to support treatment and discharge planning in various behavioral health settings.

The position requires a high school diploma and BHT training; experience in mental health settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Behavioral Health Technician training program or certification preferred.
• Experience in mental health or behavioral health settings with direct patient care.
• Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Basic understanding of crisis management and intervention techniques.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting clinical assessments and monitoring patient behavior to inform treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care, including support with daily living activities and therapeutic interventions.
• Implement crisis intervention techniques to manage and de-escalate behavioral emergencies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and discharge plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans.
• Support patients with Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED) by applying specialized care strategies.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients by adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
