Job summary

Bradford Health Services is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support individuals with mental health challenges under clinical supervision. You will implement treatment plans, conduct assessments, and help ensure patient safety in various behavioral health settings.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, thorough documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; BH technician training or cert preferred.
• Experience in mental health or behavioral health settings, including direct patient care.
• Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and records management.
• Basic understanding of crisis management and intervention techniques.
• Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting clinical assessments and monitor patient behavior to inform treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care, including support with daily living activities and therapeutic interventions.
• Implement crisis intervention techniques to manage and de-escalate emergencies.
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation, including progress notes and discharge plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and update treatment and discharge plans.
• Support patients with Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED) using specialized care strategies.
• Ensure a safe, supportive environment by following protocols.
