Job summary

Bradford Health Services is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support individuals experiencing mental health challenges under clinical supervision. You will help implement treatment plans, conduct assessments, and ensure patient safety across behavioral health settings.

This role emphasizes direct care, crisis intervention, and accurate documentation to support continuity of care and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Behavioral Health Technician training program or relevant certification preferred.
• Experience in mental health settings or working with behavioral health needs.
• Basic knowledge of clinical documentation standards and crisis intervention techniques.
• Ability to perform clinical assessments and support discharge planning processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health and severe emotional disturbances (SED).
• Conduct clinical assessments and assist in development and implementation of individualized treatment and discharge plans.
• Monitor patient behavior and intervene during crises to ensure safety and de-escalate potentially harmful situations.
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation, including progress notes and incident reports.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers to coordinate patient care.
