Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Program Coordinator to plan and coordinate structured therapeutic activities for patients across shifts. The role supports a multidisciplinary team and aims to maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu for children, adults and geriatrics.

Bachelor’s in counseling psychology or related field is required; five years of clinical experience may substitute the degree. BLS certification and crisis intervention training are required; Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology, psychology or related health degree (required).
• In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 5 years clinical experience specific to unit, program and field.
• Master’s degree in counseling psychology, psychology or related behavioral health degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and coordinate structured therapeutic program activities for the unit.
• Provide leadership and guidance to unit staff in relation to programming and interventions.
• Coordinate with patients, families, physicians and other health disciplines regarding patient needs and program activities.
