Responsibilities

• 01a. Maintains staffing ratios and schedules in accordance with state regulations throughout all shifts
• 01b. Works with county screening center to coordinate services and patient care needs
• 01c. Reviews and approves payroll requirements for the department
• 01e. Provides administrative on-call services as needed
• 01f. Maintains workflows and team member assignments
• 01g. Provides direct patient intervention when needed
• 02a. Develop and maintain a chart review process and team member education process
• 02b. Implement a competency training program
• 02d. Complete and review team member performance evaluations, talent development goals and operational performance
• 02e. Conduct supervision related to patient/collateral assessment and interaction, documentation and disposition planning
• 03a. Collaborate with service line leadership to design, implement, monitor and report on both quality and performance initiatives
• 03b. Author and present at QI/PI engagements
• 03c. Develop monitoring plans to retain compliance with regulatory, state and programmatic standards
• 03d. Complete all required regulator, grant, state and program reporting
• 03e. Update and complete all required grant, financial and program reporting requirements in collaboration with the Service Line Manager and Director
• 03f. Participates in county system review meetings and state required reporting/training meetings
• 04a. Collaborates with departmental leadership, including the Director, Service Line Manager and additional Crisis Coordinators to develop, author and implement departmental and service line polices, guidelines and procedures
• 04b. Ensures policies, guidelines and procedures meet the standards for the department as defined by administrative standards, regulatory bodies and system policies
• 04c. Implement a monitoring process to ensure all required policies and procedures are submitted and updated within the needed timeframe to maintain department compliance
• 05a. Formulate and maintain all affiliation agreements with community partners in association with the Service Line Manager and Director
• 05b. Maintain productive collaborative relationships with community partners
• 05c. Assist and conduct community facing education initiatives as needed
• 05e. Attend and participate in county and intercounty review committees
• 05f. Attends state and county sponsored committees and meetings in coordination with the Service Line Manager and regulatory requirements
• 06a. Maintain interdepartmental relationships with medical providers, medical leadership, nursing, nursing leadership, social work, security and all related disciplines
• 06b. Collaborates with the Service Line Manager and Director to develop and maintain interdepartmental workflows, integrity of patient care needs and complete reviews
• 06c. Participates in service line, departmental and site committees in coordination with the Service Line Manager and Director
• 06d. Coordinate with inpatient psychiatric units pertaining to patient care needs, process improvement and resolution needs
• 07a. Collaborates with Service Line Manager and Director to plan and propose departmental budgets
• 07b. Coordinates with Service Line Manager and Director to maintain departmental operations in relation to budgetary guidelines and financial initiatives
• 07c. Maintains all required reporting needs for philanthropy funded positions, including completion of financial reports and business plans in coordination with the Service Line Manager and Director
• 07d. Actively works with the Service Line Manager and Director regarding coding, billing and charges for the department
• 07e. Ensures compliance with reporting and operational needs for departmental related grants
• 08a. Collaborate with Risk Management and Health Information Management pertaining to all patient concerns in coordination with the Service Line Manager and Director
• 08b. Complete direct patient and family intervention and debriefings
• 08c. Assist direct care team with patient needs, dispositions and collateral needs
• 08d. Provide education and direction to the care team, inpatient unit and additional sites pertaining to the admission process, evaluation process and involuntary process
• 08e. Provide direct patient care including assessments, de-escalation, collateral/family contact and disposition planning as needed
• 09a. Assist with community and interagency educational requests in coordination with service line leadership, community partner needs and regulatory requirements
• 09b. Complete system and site in-service education and learning initiatives for clinical and non-clinical teams as requested and reviewed with the Service Liner Manager and Director
• 09c. Complete community educational initiatives for various agencies and age ranges in coordination with service line leadership
