Job summary

Atlantic Health in New Jersey is seeking a Manager of Laboratory Operations to oversee daily lab activities, ensure timely and accurate testing, and lead a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on maintaining equipment, enforcing safety, and supporting patient care through quality-driven operations.

You will manage budgets, drive process improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate with hospital leadership, and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Experience leading laboratory operations and teams
• Ability to manage departmental budgets and resources
• Strong knowledge of safety PPE protocols and regulatory standards
• Proven track record implementing quality control processes
• Experience coordinating with hospital and health-system leadership
• Effective communication with physicians, staff, and administrators
• Proficiency with hospital information systems and LIS/LIS platforms
• Commitment to staff training, competency assessment and ongoing education
• Ability to develop and monitor departmental policies and procedures
• Experience with inspection preparedness and regulatory audits
