Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Nurse Executive to oversee the clinical, operational, and financial activities of its department in Summit, NJ. You will collaborate with physicians, nursing, and management to ensure timely access, efficient operations, fiscal integrity, and patient satisfaction.

The role leads human resources management, practice business development, daily operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance, while driving staff development, safe staffing, and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• BLS
• Valid RN license in NJ or compact license
• Nurse Executive Certification upon hire or within one year of start date.
• Preferred: experience in healthcare management and Magnet journey

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical, operational, and financial activities within the department.
• Lead staffing, payroll accuracy, and scheduling to meet patient acuity and budget targets.
• Manage budgets, annual planning, and performance management processes.
• Promote patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance across the unit.
• Support professional governance, recruitment, retention, and staff development.
• Foster a culture of safety, staff engagement, and excellent patient experience.
