Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a mental health professional to provide comprehensive crisis intervention in the Emergency Department or Walk-In Center.

You will assess patients, coordinate admissions/referrals, and liaise with physicians, advanced practitioners, and behavioral health staff to determine the appropriate level of care. Qualifications

• Mental health professional with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a human services field.
• Minimum 1 year of direct clinical mental health/crisis intervention experience.
• Experience with case management/utilization review and managed care models preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments for patients in the Emergency Department or Walk-In Center.
• Make referral recommendations to appropriate level of care and coordinate with BH teams.
• Serve as liaison for other hospital/network sites and support patient flow.
• Respond to agitation/violent behavior using verbal de-escalation; may assist with restraints.
