Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking a Mental Health Crisis Intervention Specialist to provide comprehensive crisis services and coordinate admission/referral for patients and families presenting for psychiatric assessment.

You will work with emergency department and walk-in center teams, assist with patient flow, and ensure compliance with mental health regulations for patient rights and admission status. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a human services field with relevant experience.
• Direct clinical mental health/crisis intervention experience required (1 year minimum).
• Experience with case management, utilization review, or managed care models preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments for patients with mental health needs in ED/Walk-In Center.
• Make referral recommendations to appropriate level of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners and other BH staff for placement decisions.
• Coordinate with BH team members to support patient flow and placement.
• Serve as liaison for other hospital/network sites and patient care areas regarding mental health needs.
