Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network seeks a mental health professional to provide comprehensive crisis intervention. You will conduct intake assessments in the Emergency Department and Walk-In Center, coordinate referrals, and collaborate with care teams to ensure timely placement and appropriate level of care.

You will support utilization management processes, stay informed on mental health regulations, and act as a liaison across hospital sites to assist with patient flow and rights adherence.

Qualifications

• Mental health professional with a minimum of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a human services field.
• 1 year of direct clinical mental health/crisis intervention experience required.
• Experience with case management/utilization review and managed care models preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments for patients with mental health needs in ED or Walk-In Center and refer to appropriate level of care.
• Coordinate with physicians, advanced practitioners and behavioral health staff to facilitate referrals and placement.
• Serve as liaison for other hospital/network sites and support other departments’ mental health needs.
