Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Bethlehem, PA, is seeking a mental health professional to provide comprehensive crisis intervention and coordinate admission/referral for patients and families presenting for psychiatric assessment.

The role includes conducting intake assessments in the Emergency Department or Walk-In Center, collaborating with physicians and other behavioral health staff to facilitate referrals, and serving as a liaison across network sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year direct clinical mental health/crisis intervention experience.
• Experience with case management/utilization review and managed care models preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive crisis intervention and coordinate admissions/referrals.
• Conduct intake assessments for mental health needs in the Emergency Department and Walk-In Center.
• Interact with care teams to facilitate referral decisions and placement across the network.
• Serve as a liaison for other hospital/network sites regarding behavioural health needs.
• Support utilization management and pre-certification processes for intakes and consults.
