Job summary

Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Illinois is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support daily patient care on the Behavioral Health unit. The role is part-time (20 hours per week) with a 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM schedule and alternating weekends and holiday rotations.

You will assist with bathing, feeding, mobility, vital signs, and record-keeping in the EMR under the supervision of the RN. A GED or HS diploma and enrollment in a nursing program are required, with BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma, plus current enrollment in a nursing program.
• No prior work experience required.
• Basic computer skills and proficient communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, mobility, and hygiene.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and weights; document in EMR as directed.
• Participate in admissions, transfers and discharges under RN supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient areas and stock nursing supplies.
