Job summary

Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support the Med Surg unit (IU 2 North Telemetry). You will perform daily patient care tasks, assist with activities, and document vitals in the EMR during night shifts.

This role requires BLS within 45 days and a GED/HSED or high school diploma, with weekends/holidays on rotation; strong communication and organizational skills are essential for patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, mobility and transfers.
• Measures and documents vital signs and input/output in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates patient observations to RN.
• Supports admission, transfer and discharge processes under RN supervision.
• Ensures patient call lights are answered promptly and supplies are managed.
