Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional to support K-12 students with diverse needs in in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will assist teachers, support individualized learning plans, monitor progress, and help implement SESI’s PBIS framework to promote positive behavior. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, preparation of materials, and providing small-group and one-on-one instruction within a safe, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Assist the teacher with small group instruction and individual support.
• Monitor student progress, assist with behavioral and instructional strategies, and document outcomes.
• Support safety and de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to meet student needs.
