Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is hiring a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support K-12 students with intensive behavioral needs in in-district classrooms or standalone schools.

You will monitor behavior, assist with behavior support plans, document progress, and collaborate with teachers and families to implement individualized supports. A high school diploma is required; college experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with behavioral interventions for students with intensive needs.
• Emotional consistency and resilience in stressful situations.
• Flexibility and willingness to support where needed for safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support students across school sites (classrooms, transition areas).
• Assist in creating and implementing behavior support plans.
• Record, track, and document behavioral incidents and progress toward goals.
• Utilize PBIS strategies and school incentive programs.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and crisis management as needed.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate with parents and participate in debriefings after challenging situations.
