Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with special needs in in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will collaborate with teachers to provide individualized services, monitor behavior, track progress, and communicate with parents using SESI’s PBIS CASE framework. You will be involved in de-escalation and crisis management when needed, support daily lesson plans, and help create safe, inclusive learning environments

Qualifications

• High school diploma; college experience or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the teacher to deliver individualized services to groups of students.
• Monitor student behavior, track progress, and communicate with parents.
• Provide customized behavior and academic support and conduct assessments.
• Assist with large group activities and accommodations as necessary.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis management to ensure safety.
• Support daily plans and track student growth toward goals.
