Job summary

MeBe Family in Oceanside, CA seeks a compassionate Behavior Technician to support children with autism in our Learning Center. You will work 1:1 with kiddos, implement treatment plans, and record progress under supervision.

MeBe offers paid training to become an RBT, supportive supervisors, flexible shifts (including part-time), and a collaborative culture focused on evidence-based care and family education.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• RBT certification preferred; must obtain RBT within 45 days of employment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's in Pediatrics or Human Development is preferred.
• Ability to frequently bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and engage with children in various settings.
• Must pass a background check and obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients.
• Experience in child care, teaching, counseling, or related roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills coaching for kids with autism.
• Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs to improve communication, self-help, and play skills.
• Relay progress to BCBA and assist with BCBA assessments as needed.
• Accurately record behavior data and progress in Central Reach after each session.
• Clock in/out and submit session notes in alignment with ABA and insurance regulations.
• Help maintain a safe, organized workplace and support lunch/bathroom breaks for kids.
• Collaborate with Site Director and Supervisors and build positive relationships with families.
