Job summary

Step Up Family Services is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT) to support individualized ABA programs for children with ASD and other developmental disabilities. The role involves delivering 1:1 therapy under supervision in home and/or center-based settings, collecting data, and contributing to treatment plan goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; higher degrees preferred
• Experience with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• RBT certification preferred but not required at time of hire; required within 90 days if applicable
• Background checks including criminal history and abuse registry screenings required

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy under BCBA supervision following treatment plans
• Record and maintain accurate progress data using electronic systems
• Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviors
• Follow behavior reduction protocols designed by the BCBA
• Assist with generalization of skills across environments and settings
• Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques per the treatment plan
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical team
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times
