Job summary

Step Up Family Services is seeking a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT) to implement individualized ABA programs for children with ASD and other developmental disabilities in home settings. You will work under the direct supervision of a BCBA to deliver therapy, collect data, and support skill-building across communication, social, adaptive, and academic domains.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, and may require RBT certification

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• RBT certification preferred but not required at time of hire; required within 90 days of employment if applicable.
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or centers as needed.
• Must pass background checks, including criminal history and abuse registry screenings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy as directed by the supervising BCBA.
• Record and maintain accurate data on client progress using electronic data collection systems.
• Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviors.
• Follow and apply behavior reduction protocols as designed by the BCBA.
• Assist with generalization of skills across environments, people, and settings.
• Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques in accordance with the client’s treatment plan.
• Maintain professional and ethical conduct per BACB guidelines (if applicable).
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical team.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred
