Job summary

Centria Autism in Kentwood, MI, is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children on individualized intervention plans under a BCBA's supervision. You will teach communication, social and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques and help reduce challenging behaviors.

Join a supportive team with training provided; a focus on safety and mobility is required as some tasks involve lifting up to 50 pounds. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one intervention under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Reduce interfering behaviors through structured behavioral plans.
• Participate in comprehensive training to empower helping children with autism.
