Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism under BCBA supervision. You will implement individualized intervention plans, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques, while reducing interfering behaviors.

The role requires patience, compassion, and teamwork. Training is provided, and the position may involve physical tasks to support mobility and safety, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Experience working as a: Behavioral Technician, Working in some capacity with children with autism or other learning disabilities, Teacher’s Aide, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver or Home Health Aide

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors
• Provide safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children during sessions
• Perform tasks as part of a structured treatment program and collaborate with the BCBA and care team
