Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs in in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

Join a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment while helping students develop essential life skills. You will work one-on-one with assigned students, implement behavior support plans, and document progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience in educational settings implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one on one with an assigned student to meet goals set forth in their IEP, providing accommodations and modifications as necessary.
• Assist in the development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans; record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint if necessary to maintain student safety.
