Job summary

SESI is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioural needs in a special/alternative education setting. You will work under a multidisciplinary team to implement behavior support plans, track progress, and provide personal care as needed.

You will engage with diverse students, help achieve IEP goals, and collaborate with families and staff to foster a positive learning environment within SESI’s framework.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience working in an educational setting implementing behavioural interventions for students with intensive behavioural needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one on one with a student to meet goals in their IEP.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Record and track data on behaviours, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Utilise behaviour support and intervention strategies.
• Provide personal care support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
