Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, seeks a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support K-12 students with intensive behavioral needs.

You will work one-on-one with students, implement and adjust behavior support plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic guidance and support within in-district classrooms or standalone schools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience working in an educational setting implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse students and adapt to varied behavioral requirements.
• Willingness to implement and modify behavior support plans to meet individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet goals set forth in their IEP, providing accommodations and modifications as necessary.
• Assist in the development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans; record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management to maintain student and staff safety.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that supports social and behavioral development.
• Supervise students and ensure they are monitored during travel to and from locations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent plan implementation.
• Provide personal care support as needed based on student requirements.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
