Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with IEP goals in K-12 settings across our network.

You will work one on one with the assigned student, providing accommodations and behavior support as directed by the team. You will collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement plans, track progress, and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Experience in educational setting implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one on one with an assigned student to meet goals in their IEP, providing accommodations and modifications as necessary.
• Assist in the development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans; record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint if necessary to maintain the safety of students and staff.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages the development of appropriate social and behavioral skills.
• Supervise students and ensure they are always monitored, including to and from appropriate school locations.
• Work in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent implementation of behavior support plans.
• Provide personal care support dependent on the student’s needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
