Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a dedicated aide to support a Special Education Teacher in delivering academic and social-emotional programming for students. You will model the organization’s values and assist in implementing IEP-aligned curricula in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities include data collection, reporting on student progress, and collaborating with teachers to support daily activities and classroom planning.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree preferred with a major in education or related human service fields.
• Basic knowledge of data entry/management programs such as Excel; Excel training will be provided.
• Bradley Hospital Safety Care Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in formulation of social-emotional and behavioral programming aligned with students’ IEPs.
• Implement social-emotional and behavioral programming consistent with students’ IEPs.
• Collect and manage data on social-emotional and behavioral functioning for assigned students.
• Prepare and present verbal and/or written reports concerning social-emotional and behavioral functioning for assigned students.
• Assist in implementation of the academic and social-emotional curricula as directed by the classroom teacher and team leader.
• Provide academic support to students as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Prepare and submit required paperwork for the student record.
• Attend classroom team meetings and other student-related meetings as assigned.
• Observe Bradley Schools policies, rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.
