Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a classroom behavior specialist to support an exceptional education program. You will work 1:1 or in small groups to assess behavioral and social-emotional needs and help students reach their goals alongside the classroom team.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with Parapro Assessment, or 60+ college credits/Associate's Degree, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with Parapro Assessment or 60 hours of college coursework or an Associate's Degree.
• 60+ college credits or an Associate's Degree, preferred majors include Special Education, Psychology, or related human services fields.
• Strong communication, patience and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with students or in small groups to assess behavioral and social-emotional needs.
• Identify barriers to academic progress and help students be successful.
• Attend meetings and collaborate with the classroom team on progress and IEP goals.
