Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a per diem classroom support assistant to help the Special Education Teacher deliver effective academic and social-emotional programming for assigned students. This role models the organization's values while supporting data-driven instruction in a demanding educational setting.

You will collaborate with the classroom team, help implement IEP-aligned programming, collect data, and attend team meetings.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree preferred in education or related human services.
• Basic knowledge of data entry/Excel; Excel training provided if needed.
• Bradley Hospital Safety Care Certification is required.
• Experience with children in a psychiatric setting; de-escalation training

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Education Teacher with implementing academic and SEL programming.
• Formulate and implement social-emotional and behavioral programming aligned with IEPs.
• Collect and manage data on social-emotional and behavioral functioning.
• Prepare and submit required paperwork for student records; attend meetings.
