Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking an assistant to support the Special Education Teacher in implementing effective academic and social-emotional programming for assigned students. In collaboration with the classroom team, you will help deliver curricula, collect data, and prepare reports while modeling the organization's values of compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence.

Per diem position with day shifts, located at LSS-Portsmouth in Rhode Island.

Qualifications

Baccalaureate Degree preferred with a major in education or related human service fields.
Bradley Hospital Safety Care Certification.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing social-emotional and behavioral programming aligned with students' IEPs.
Provide academic support to students as directed by the classroom teacher.
Collect and manage data on social-emotional and behavioral functioning.
Prepare and present reports on student functioning.
Attend and participate in classroom team meetings and other student-related meetings.
Adhere to Bradley Schools policies and regulations.
Perform other duties as required.
