Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 72.0 college-level quarter credit hours OR an associate degree OR Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 455+.
• Completion of 14 hours of Fundamental Course of Study training in first school year.
• Completion of 70 hours of professional development within 3 years to obtain General Paraeducator Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist students one-to-one and in small groups to provide learning support.
• Help students deal with conflict and improve behavior.
• Assist teachers with learning materials and classroom setup.
• Support students with special needs and motor skills development.
• Maintain student records and assist with assessments and grading.
