Job summary

Filer Middle School is seeking a full-time Behavior Intervention Team Lead to oversee intervention strategies, support students with behavioral challenges, and collaborate with staff, parents, and the community to foster a positive school environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in Education/ Psychology or related field, 3+ years in educational/behavioral support, and strong leadership, communication, and data-driven practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with students in educational or behavioral support.
  • Strong knowledge of behavior management, PBIS, and SEL.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Behavior Intervention Team in creating and implementing individualized plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and staff to guide behavior interventions.
  • Monitor and evaluate intervention effectiveness and adjust as needed.
  • Conduct staff training on behavior management techniques.
  • Meet with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and strategies at home.
  • Maintain records of interventions, progress, and meetings for compliance.
  • Serve as a crisis intervention resource when needed.
  • Promote social-emotional learning and proactive behavior support.
  • Coordinate with external agencies/resources for student and family support.
  • Stay current with research and trends to improve practices.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
Master’s degree preferred
