Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. in Illinois is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs in in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You will contribute to a PBIS framework and partner with districts to help students overcome challenges. You will work one-on-one with a student to meet IEP goals, implement behavior support plans, and record progress while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in an educational setting with behavioral interventions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with an assigned student to meet IEP goals and provide accommodations.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and safety procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent plans.
