Job summary

YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is seeking a Site Director for School Age Services in Collierville. The role involves planning daily lesson activities, supervising staff, and ensuring safety and licensing compliance.

You will build positive relationships with schools and families, manage schedules, and support DHS training. Regular hours are 8:00am–6:00pm, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of experience in child development or related field.
• TECTA certificate to complete thirty hours of orientation training within the first year.
• Two years of college with two years of group setting experience, or a 4-year degree with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Model YMCA values and oversee daily before/after-school site operations for ~20-99 students.
• Maintain DHS licensing compliance, safety, and daily rosters and records.
• Lead staff, schedule coverage, and support training of group leaders.
• Develop school-community relationships with principals, teachers, and parents.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in program development and events.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of child development/related experience

Two years of college (30 hours) in business/management or related field and two years in a group setting

Four-year degree and one year of full-time (paid or unpaid) experience in a group setting
