YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is seeking a Part-time Group Leader for Before & After Care in Memphis, TN. The role involves implementing activities, executing daily lesson plans, and fostering children’s social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth under the Site Director’s guidance.

The position requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of required background checks and trainings. Flexible schedule supports before & after school shifts.

Responsibilities

• Implement activities and execute daily lesson plans for before and after school sites and summer programs.
• Lead groups of 15–20 children, inside or outside during transitions.
• Follow safety standards and risk management policies to ensure participant well‑being.
• Assist in planning and implementing a quality curriculum according to YMCA guidelines.
• Attend staff meetings and in‑service trainings as required.
• Assist in maintaining supplies and inventory on site.
• Assist in monitoring licensing standards at the School Age site.
• Maintain positive relationships with YMCA personnel and school staff.
• Assist in enforcing citywide policies and procedures.
• Assume duties as directed by the Site Director.
