Job summary

The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South in Olive Branch, MS, is seeking a part-time Before & After Care Site Director to lead the school-site program. This role plans daily activities, maintains safety, and ensures the program meets licensing standards.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, attending weekly meetings, managing attendance and reports, and coordinating activities such as STEM and reading programs. CPR/First Aid are required or obtained within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
• Four years of college with 2 years of experience administering a child care or educational program, including staff supervisory experience; OR two years of college with 30 hours in business or management, child or youth development, or related field and 2 years experience administering a child care or educational program, including staff supervisory experience; OR high school diploma with 4 years experience administering a child care or educational program and 30 hours of TECTA administrator or Child Development Associate (CDA) with staff supervisory experience.
• Current CPR/AED, First Aid and Child Abuse Training or obtain within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Directs part-time all aspects of the Before/After School Program at a school site.
• Plan and coordinate daily activities, including CATCH, STEM and Reading programs.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing environment, ensuring a high level of program quality.
• Supervise Group Leaders and conduct bi-weekly site staff meetings.
• Maintain current staff files and records in compliance with DHS standards.
