Qualifications

• Must enroll in Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance (TECTA) certificate within first year of employment; orientation and DHS required trainings listed.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications within 30 days of hire; maintain annual training requirements.
• Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to DHS licensing standards and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Model the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
• Oversee a before/after school site serving 20–99 students and support seasonal camps.
• Maintain DHS licensing files and ensure they are current and complete.
• Lead daily curriculum, supervise staff, develop lesson plans and manage records.
• Coordinate with school staff, parents and community partners; participate in conferences.
• Assist in staff training, scheduling and coverage; adapt to flexible schedules, including weekends.
