Job summary

The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is seeking a part-time School Age Group Leader in Jackson, TN to implement daily lesson plans for before/after school sites and summer programs. You will work with site staff to promote social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth among children and help maintain a safe, organized program space.

Responsibilities include leading activities, following safety policies, assisting with curriculum development, and attending staff trainings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must complete all state and school district mandated background checks and fingerprint clearances.

Responsibilities

• Model the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
• Lead and engage a group of 15–20 children in activities inside or outside program areas.
• Follow safety standards and risk management policies to ensure participant and staff safety.
• Assist in planning and implementing a quality curriculum that meets YMCA guidelines.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Maintain supplies and inventory on site and assist with licensing standards.
