Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers in Colorado seeks a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing the child care program. Develops and promotes good community relations among school clientele and assists in providing quality programming.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Must be age 18 or over.
• At least three months (455 hours) of verified care/supervision experience with four or more children aged four or older.
• Annual minimum of 15 clock hours of training (June 1 – May 31).
• Knowledge of childcare fundamentals and safety.
• Ability to develop and apply appropriate discipline procedures.
• Leadership and basic management skills.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems effectively.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce Colorado licensing requirements.
• Supervise and engage with students during program times.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and colleagues.
• Maintain safe conditions for students and staff.
• Promote and market before/after care and full-day programming.
• Attend required professional development trainings.
• Assist with planning quality lesson activities for daily operation.
• Assist with maintenance, storage, and care of equipment and supplies.
• Contribute ideas for enrichment activities and program quality.
• Create and implement activities and field trips for full-day programming.
• Attend monthly program staff meetings as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned; totals reach 100%.
