Job summary

Cherry Creek School District is seeking a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing the district’s child care program. The role emphasizes safety, positive supervision of students, and engagement with families and staff.

You will help develop quality programming, support staff, and ensure compliance with licensing requirements while promoting enrichment activities and community relations within the school community.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least three months (455 hours) of verified experience in care and supervision of four or more children age four or older.
• Current early childhood professional credential level I or higher in version 3.0 as determined by the Department.
• Annual 15 clock hours of training from June 1 to May 31.
• Knowledge of childcare basics and safety.
• Ability to develop disciplinary procedures and leadership skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist the program director to plan and implement the child care program.
• Develop and promote good community relations among school clientele.
• Assist director to prepare and implement quality programming.
• Follow and enforce all Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements.
• Supervise and engage with students during program times.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, staff and district personnel.
• Maintain safe conditions for all students and staff.
• Promote and market the program for before/after care and full days.
• Attend professional development trainings as required by licensing and district.
• Assist with creating lesson plans and program activities.
• Assist with maintenance and storage of equipment and supplies.
• Contribute ideas for enrichment activities and program quality.
• Create and implement activities and field trips for full-day programming.
• Attend monthly program staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
