Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing child care programs. The role emphasizes compliance with Colorado licensing, supervision of students, and strong communication with parents and school staff.

The position focuses on developing quality programming, coordinating activities, and promoting the program within the community. Some leadership responsibilities and ongoing training are required.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Leader must be 18 years or older.
• Must complete at least one of: 3 months (455 hours) of care experience or hold Level I+ early childhood credential.
• Annual requirement of 15 clock hours of training (June 1–May 31).
• Knowledge of childcare basics and ability to apply appropriate discipline procedures.
• Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follow Colorado licensing requirements and ensure safety.
• Supervise and engage with students during program hours.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, staff and district.
• Maintain safe conditions for students and staff.
• Promote and market the program for before/after care and full days.
• Attend professional development trainings as required by licensing and district.
• Assist with quality lesson plans and enrichment activities.
• Assist in maintenance and proper storage of equipment and supplies.
• Create and implement activities and field trips for full-day programming.
• Attend monthly staff meetings as required.
