Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers in Colorado is seeking a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing the child care program. You will supervise students, communicate with parents and staff, and help ensure safe, quality programming.

This non-exempt role requires CPR/First Aid certification, a background check, and being at least 18 years old. Leadership and problem-solving skills are essential, with opportunities to develop lessons and coordinate activities.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• Must be age 18 or over
• Must demonstrate ability to work with children
• Three months (455 hours) of verified experience with supervising children or a current Early Childhood credential level I in version 3.0

Responsibilities

• Follow licensing requirements for Colorado Department of Early Childhood
• Supervise students during program times
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, school staff and coworkers
• Maintain safe conditions for all students and staff
• Promote and market the program for before and after care and full days
• Attend professional development trainings as required by licensing and district
• Assist with lesson plans and enrichment activities
• Create and implement activities and field trips for full day programming
• Attend monthly program staff meetings as required by director
• Perform other duties as assigned
