Job summary

YMCA SouthCoast is seeking a Site Coordinator to oversee a before/after school program in Mattapoisett, MA. The role includes planning activities, supervising staff, and ensuring safe, healthy operations.

You will coordinate weekly lesson plans, staff schedules, and program budgets while maintaining high standards of care and parent communication. The position requires building strong community relations and delivering valued youth experiences.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements according to EEC regulations.
• Knowledge of state and YMCA standards and regulations for early education and child-care.
• Ability to interact effectively with children and parents.
• Experience teaching children at grade school level.
• Ability to supervise, develop staff, and evaluate staff.
• Ability to provide administrative support including record keeping and budget maintenance.
• Ability to contribute to creative program efforts and YMCA activities including fund raising and communications.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise staff of the program.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans with multiple learning components.
• Prepare weekly staff schedules and responsibilities.
• Model the Y's healthy eating standards during meals and snacks.
• Engage youth in games and physical activities.
• Maintain accurate records and files of enrolled children.
• Verify parent/guardian identity at child check-out and other functions.
• Communicate concerns to parents regarding injuries and incidents.
• Monitor cleanliness, safety, and general appearance of the program.
• Assist with staff selection, budget development, and training scheduling.
